Welcome to our first quarterly newsletter! We're excited to connect with our supporters; sharing highlights from the past year and providing a sneak peek into the exciting initiatives we have planned for the upcoming year.

After participating in a week-long voting process and live pitch competition, the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas named its winning organizations on Tuesday as part of its annual Social Innovation Accelerator. POETIC, which provides trauma therapy and support services to girls who have experienced sex trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation or child maltreatment, received the top title of Social Innovator of the Year, along with $75,000.

Poetic CEO Dr. HaeSung Han is a Presidential Leadership Scholar, class of 2022.

POETIC and The Artist Outreach are among the Stand Together Foundation’s 15 new partnerships that aim to break the cycle of poverty in the United States.

POETIC was awarded a grant and featured in the Red Backpack Fund, a foundation from SPANX founder Sara Blakely, that supports Female Entrepreneurs.

“When we look up at the future and what that looks like, five or 10 years from now, we see this as a national movement. You’ll frequently see us use the hashtag “#UntilEveryGirlIsEquallyValued,” and that’s truly what we stand for. I think there are a lot of pieces to us truly realizing that in our lifetime – and realizing that not just in Dallas, and beyond.”
