Individuals and groups are invited to collect and/or provide much-needed items including:
- Welcome kits including t-shirts, sweatpants, hoodies, socks, underwear, hair ties, toothbrush, toothpaste, body lotion, deodorant, face soap and face lotion. Clothing sizes from S to XXXL. ($45 value)
- Gift cards to restaurants and stores such as In-N-Out, Chik-Fil-A, Starbucks, Walmart and Target. ($25 value)
- Birthday kits including party decorations (balloons, streamers, cups, plates, utensils), a present (art or beauty supplies) and a birthday card. ($25 value)
- Snack donations such as Gatorade, Tropicana, Aquafina, Cheetos, Ruffles, Doritos, Naked chips, Fritos, Bare apple chips and cereals.
To protect the safety of our secure location, on-site volunteer opportunities are limited. However, we believe that education is the best prevention and provide corporate volunteer opportunities for up to 30 participants. These opportunities will be custom-crafted to address an immediate need at POETIC.
Examples include:
- Purchasing and assembling furniture
- Painting, building inventory for our Discard to Purpose™ stationery line
- Replenishing and organizing our kitchen, clothing closet, laundry area and bathroom
- Purchasing and updating our technology
